just when you think australia has spat out too many great psychedelic rock bands with weird names, Tropical Fuck Storm arrive with their new album 'Braindrops'. unnervingly stuttering and uncompromising with a signature sound that's hard to come by these days. but the main event this month for me was Murder Capital's unexpectedly brilliant debut album 'For Everything'. their album is best experienced listened all the way through, where you are taken through a journey of brutal, raging highs and delicate, vulnerable lows. the beautiful thing about this album is that the music itself implies the emotion that the lyrics only confirm -...

the wonderfully named Psychedelic Porn Crumpets were one of my favourites these past few months. The Australian band is like a break-neck Tame Impala, with some timeless riffs that you can't help but hum along with. Easy Life also impressed this month with one of the best live gigs I've ever seen at Truck festival. i mean, when you can part a crowd with a saxophone, you must be doing something right. use this link if safari's being stupid

This is just a small post, and it hasn't really got much to do with anything. But I want to put more stuff on here, so you have more of an idea of what's going on in my head when you aren't being told to buy t-shirts.  There are so many times I've wanted to stop doing this.
